Job Description:

Scientific research within the project “PEP-NET: Fusing Theory and Experiment” as part of the Innovative Training Network Marie Sklodowska-Curie, specifically research on three independent topics with the aim of graduating with a PhD: ESR 1 Visualising and modelling Polycomb/Trithorax (PcG/TrxG) regulation in real time (supervisor: Leonie Ringrose). ESR 6 DNA sequence determinants of Polycomb targeting in flies and vertebrates (supervisor: Leonie Ringrose). ESR 7 Polycomb Targeting in the context of 3D chromatin organization (supervisor: Marc Rehmsmeier). Trainings in the ESR network and secondment to partners within the European network (further information: www.ringroselab.com)


Bachelor and Master´s degree or equivalent completed in biochemistry, molecular biology, bioinformatics, computational biology, biological engineering, mathematics or physics and accordance with the EU early-stage-researcher (ESR) and mobility criteria (at the time of hiring applicants may not have lived or carried out their main activity (work, studies) in Germany for more than 12 months within the last 3 years; ESRs must be within the first four years of their research careers and have not been awarded a doctoral degree). A high proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
